At the same time, buying vintage and pre-used items allows us to reuse items and therefore reduce waste associated with fast fashion. By extending the life of luxury pieces, we keep items in circulation and divert from landfills. By prioritising pre-owned items we can also lessen the demand for new resource-intensive production and reduce the environmental footprint tied to manufacturing and shipping.
Choosing pre-loved luxury encourages a slower relationship with shoes and bags - one defined by intention, quality, and longevity.

At sayo vintage, we are dedicated to minimising our environmental impact and promoting sustainability in every aspect of our business. We recognise the challenges posed by serving an international clientele and requiring packaging materials for business operations. We continuously seek ways to reduce our carbon footprint and support eco-friendly practices.
Our Sustainable Initiatives Include:
• Eco-Certified Packaging: Our packaging boxes are made from materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), ensuring they originate from responsibly managed forests.
• Local Sourcing: We source our packaging boxes directly from Japan where we are based, to reduce the environmental impact associated with long-distance shipping and transportation of materials.
• Eco-Friendly Inner Packaging: Inside parcels, we use paper-based materials such as paper honeycomb sheets and paper sheets, which are recyclable and biodegradable.
• Sustainable Adhesives: We avoid using plastic tape, glue, and adhesives to close the boxes and instead opt for mailers.
• Biodegradable Mailers: Our mailing envelopes and mailers are made from biodegradable materials, breaking down naturally over time.
• Reduced Waste and Minimal Packaging: We strive to minimise excess packaging and use only what is necessary to protect your orders. Whenever possible, we use the original boxes of items to avoid using new materials.
Please note that we occasionally receive plastic packaging from our sourcing partners and may continue using the materials to extend their use.
